BEN HAMMOND retained the Club Championship title at Kenilworth Golf Club on Saturday 19th July.
He overcame the blustery conditions and a field of 30 men to produce some consistent golf which was rewarded with a 70 in the morning round and 71 in the afternoon for a splendid winning total of 141.
Hammond, who also took both the best gross prizes, finished six shots clear of runner-up Rory Kirwan who shot rounds of 75 and 72 for a total of 147, while Robert Lamond finished third with rounds of 75 and 76 for a total of 151.

Twelve golfers competed for the Ladies Championship title which was also a 36-holes scratch medal event.
Alice Young emerged champion thanks to rounds of 81 and 83 for a total of 164.
She finished 11 shots clear of runner-up Veronique Lintin who shots rounds of 85 and 90 for a total of 175.
But Lintin provided a major highlight of championship day at Crewe Lane by achieving a coveted hole-in-one on the 7th.
