Terry Bamford and Patrick Fleming combined to win the Grinham Greensome stableford competition at Kenilworth Golf Club on Sunday 10th August.
The duo scored 42 points but only lifted the trophy following a tense countback to the last hole from Christopher Banks and Steve Young.
Andrew Collins and Philip Yates finished third by virtue of a better back nine than David Howe and Richard Jones after both pairs amassed 40 points.
Meanwhile, John Kendall totalled 39 points to finish top of Division A in the 9-hole Mixed Extra Medal on Saturday.
He finished ahead of Tim Bray 38, James Leggitt 37 and Peter Robson 36.
The Division B winner was Alan Stevens thanks to a better back six than Bev Thomas after they both scored 36 points. Mike Carrick followed on 34 points.
Countback was also required to settle the August Extra Medal on Thursday.
James Moffatt took the Division A honours due to a better back nine than Dan Edgington after they both scored 41 points.
Rene Jorgensen 40 finished third thanks to a better back nine than Thomas Higgitt 40.
Alan Stevens triumphed in Division B with 41 points from Raymond Bevan 40 and Jake Watkinson 39.
The seniors August Medal Division A winner was David Ellis 87, nett 71, from Eddie Blankley 91, nett 73.
Les Jones 91, nett 71, came out on top in Division B from George Wright 96, nett 72.
Junior captain Mike Antona produced gross scores of 75 and 79 to win the junior club championship which was held over 36 holes at Crewe Lane.
Daniel Lane's two rounds of 79 and 81 were good enough for second place, while Taylor McDonald was four shots further back in third.
Jakob Lane, playing off a handicap of 24, won the prize for the best nett score with two consistent rounds of gross 88, nett 64.
The Generation Plate, a greensome stableford event, was won by the father and son combination of Stephen and Will Linford with an excellent score of 45 points, two clear of runners-up Richard and Daniel Lane 43.
