COMPETITIONS & EQUALITY

 

TO COMPLY WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE EQUALITY ACT THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO COMPETITION PROCEDURES ARE REQUIRED AT KGC. 

Qualifying Competitions

 

1. Extra Medals-Stableford Scoring – weekday & Saturday will be open to both Ladies’ & Gentlemen on a NO Tee Reserved basis.

Can be played in any gender format, either as a 2,3,or 4 ball grouping, commencing from the appropriate start tee / time ruling.

2. Weekend Medals & Qualifiers - Stroke Play Scoring-April – October – are separate gender competitions incorporating similar Ladies qualifying competitions, with the introduction of additional EWGA medals if required, allowing both Ladies’ & Gentlemen to play in groups of single or mixed gender,

Tee reservations are booked through the PSI screen or on the Internet with up to 6 time slots available in advance to Ladies, then from 7-15pm, 10 days prior (Wednesday Evening) to the competition the unused, plus all other slots become available to both gender.

3. Tuesday Medals & Qualifiers – Stableford or Stroke Play Scoring-April – October - are for Ladies only, and have reserved tee times.

Tee reservations from 9.00 am until 12.00 am then from1.30 pm until 2.35 pm are booked through the PSI screen or on the Internet. 

4. Monday Senior Medals Stableford or Stroke Play Scoring – are separate gender competitions open to both gender provided they are over 60.

There are NO tee reservations, entry via the pro shop.

Other Competitions, Greensomes, Foursomes, Better Ball

Played as single or mixed gender depending on the competition, and are bookable via PSI screen or Internet.

Open Competitions Single or Mixed Gender

Depending on the event the course will be closed as required, this does include a period of time prior to the competition.

Entry is through the Main Office.

Course Access during Competitions

NO access for general play is permitted during competitions with tee reservation slots, unless the competition has specific gaps, when general play will be permitted.

Note the 10^th tee will become closed at 10.30 and again at 3.00 for Tuesday Medals, the period of time will depend on the number of players.

Access times will vary depending on the number of entrants for the competition.
