Phelps Bowl

Robert Lamond lifted the Phelps Bowl which was completed at the club  on Saturday 18th October.

But it was by the narrowest of margins with countback required to determine the winner of the two round competition.

Lamond carded 147, nett 138, and edged out Jeff Naysmith 180, nett 138, by virtue of a better back nine.

Lamond 72, nett 67, finished top of Division A in the first round from Richard Keegan 74, nett 69, while Naysmith 91, nett 69, won Division B from Ken Pavey 85, nett 70.

The Division A winner of round two was David Matthews 73, nett 66, from Ian Jones 82, nett 69, while Omar Rafique 85, nett 67, took the Division B honours from Derek Cooknell 83, nett 68.

Lamond, who was the overall gross winner, produced the best score of 72 in round one, while Matthews claimed the best in round two of 73.
