James Lamond lifted the coveted Club Championship at the club  on Saturday 16th July.
The prestigious event is normally played over 36 holes but torrential rain meant the first round was abandoned and the competition was restricted to 18 holes.
But no fewer than four golfers carded a three over par 74 which meant a two-hole play-off in which Lamond kept his nerve to emerge triumphant ahead of runner-up Ian Gough, Daniel Lane and Dean Sparrow.
In-form lady captain Liz Brown was crowned ladies champion after carding a score of 84 which reflected the high standard of golf she has been playing this season.
The runner-up was defending champion Alice Young with 86 and Maggie Smith finished third place on 88.

Countback was required to determine the outcome of the Philpot Salver at Crewe Lane on Sunday 17th July.
There was some splendid scoring in a keenly contested four ball stableford event in which Geoffrey Dale and David Lloyd lifted the silverware by virtue of a better back nine than Cameron Koolhoven and Dominic Butler after both pairs amassed 45 points.
Tony Philpot and Sam O'Sullivan finished third with 44 points, ahead of Paul Brewster and Brendan Fenerty 42.

A nine-hole Extra Medal competition on Thursday 14th July saw Division A success for Neil Hubbard with 18 points from Daniel Lane 17 and Chris Maddox 17. Chris Kaye was the Division B winner with 23 points from Anthony Moffatt 20 and Paul Donnelly 20.

Meanwhile, Kenilworth ladies have played two medal rounds in as many weeks for the Phelps Bowl. Jill Symonds took the round one honours with nett 67 from runner-up Rosemarie Hannam nett 70, while round two was won by Sue Shortland nett 70, from runner-up Alison Seymour Mead nett 71 although the latter had the satisfaction of carding the lowest gross score.
The overall winner was Jane Adams with nett 137 from runner-up Rosemarie Hannam nett 143.
