RICHARD SYMONDS was in sparkling form to take the top honours in the September Medal at Kenilworth Golf Club on Saturday.
Symonds carded 74, nett 64, to finish top of Division A from Roger Jones 74, nett 66. Mick Coop 75, nett 67, claimed third place by virtue of a better back nine than Tom Murray 75, nett 67.
Just one shot separated the top six in Division B with Bill Hurcomb 81, nett 69, coming out on top thanks to a better back nine than John Edden 80, nett 69.
Vernon Moyers 81, nett 70, was third on countback from Bob Owens 81, nett 70, David Hinton 82, nett 70, and Martin Corby 82, nett 70.
Darren Watson 87, nett 67, was the Division C winner from Roger Davies 86, nett 68, and Jeff Naysmith 90, nett 68.
The Rabbits Chalice was held in conjunction with the Medal and Watson lifted the trophy from Naysmith and Peter Jones 88, nett 69.
