Once again we had a full house on two nights for the Christmas Revue performances, this year featuring the pantomime Aladdin. The 6 scenes were interspersed with other acts to give an entertaining evening.
Highlight of the pantomime must surely have been the Magic 'Flying' Carpet, but there was also that blue Genie. Ok, so we had Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee and Mum the Widow Twankey too. Then there was the baddie Avabanana, his cousin The Grand Sultana whose daughter Princess Jasmine at one point needed a stand in! It was all held together by the Narrator and Director Mark Draper.
Other acts included Tony Ranger, Chris Copper, Richard Simmons, Jim McCarthy and Linda McCarthy's group (take a close look at who was in that!). It was as always, a pleasure to have Derek Richardson on the stage singing Lady in Red. David Mason did his utmost to keep the singing in tune with his fantastic piano skills.
The amazing backdrop was again painted by the talented Lyn Blasdale.
