You wait for months for a winner to come along and then two come together - not that there's any comparison between Maggie Smith and Ernie Stene and London Buses.
Anyway - last month Captain Maggie was lucky to walk off with the draw night prize and this month Ernie was in the Clubhouse when his name was in the frame and he walked off with a cheque for £100 - and Maggie was there to present it to him.
In fact it was 2 for 2 - the winner of the 51 Club Draw did not have to be in the Clubhouse to win the prize but he was - so we have photo's of 2 happy winners from the May draw night.
Look at those big smiles and then realise : next month it could be you.
To join the 51 Club you have to sign up for a year at a time, paying £5 per month for your chance to win - and you don't have to be there to win it. 51% of each months pot (rounded to the next £5) is paid out as prize money and the rest goes towards a special project at the club - decided by the 51 Club members. See the Secretary to sign up.
For the free draw you don't have to pay anything for a chance to win (the clue's in the name) but you do have to be in the Clubhouse when your name is drawn out and then yours will be the smiling face in the photo for that month.
