Seniors Pairs Open Prize Winners

The field was full for the Seniors Pairs Open on Wednesday 5th September with players from 38 different clubs taking part and 10 different clubs featuring in the list of prize winners.

The 2 nearest the pin prizes were won by Richard Glynn from Maxstoke Park Golf Club and Steve Eaves from Hinckley.

A sunny day provided good conditions for scoring which was reflected in the results - as follows.

The winners of the competition with 44 points were Dave Pulling and Ian Whitehead of Droitwich Golf Club - shown below receiving the  John Mould Trophy from Kenilworth Captain Chris Peake

2nd - also with 44 points but just losing out on count back - were Christopher Oatley and Tony Joyson of Robin Hood Golf Club

In 3rd place - from Maxstoke Park Golf Club - were Brian Bowell and Jeremy Marshall with 43 points

In 4th place, with 42 points, were John Forde from Walmley (Wild Green) Golf Club and D Moseley from Great Barr Golf Club

Also with 42 points but coming in at 5th place on a count back were Des Thornhill and Paul Gumbley of Maxstoke Park Golf Club

Another pair on 42 points won the prize for best score for a pair with a combined age between 132 and 141.

They were Kenilworth member Chris Lewis with his guest Geoff Kendall from Coventry Hearsall Golf Club (aka Royal Hearsall).

Completing the prize winners line up - with a combined age of 142 plus - were Tim Rudd of the Abbey Hotel Golf and Country Club and Steve Palmer of Nuneaton Golf Club - finishing with 40 points.
