The Ladies Autumn Open 4 BBB competition was well supported with 108 competitors from 28 different clubs. One pairing from Scraptoft GC included the recently crowned English Senior Amateur champion, Helen Lowe, so competition was fierce.
It was the first ladies event of the season to have some rain and wind. Fortunately the strong winds blew away the storm clouds and by the afternoon conditions were much more favourable and scoring improved.
The victors on the day were Carolyn Talbot from Leamington & County and our own Karen McKenna with an excellent 43points. Two points behind were champion Helen Lowe and Melanie Edge from Scraptoft GC just pipping Laraine Wooding (The Warwickshire) and Captain Maggie Smith on count back.

Many thanks to Sue Drew and helpers and starters for making it such a super day. The raffle, in aid of the Captains Charities, raised £340.
