The Captains' Drive In - As it happened

The sun was just forcing itself awake to defrost the greens

The Captains and Vice Captains had arrived

Drinks were ready and waiting - please note Jan was pouring from the bottle not drinking from it as might appear to be the case
Stuart and Sammie were ready to provide something to soak up the whisky macs
Flags were for sale to mark the expected resting place of the Captains' drives

Match & Comps were ready to sign in the players - with a drop of something to prevent them freezing up

and members were turning up to buy the baps, sip the drinks and buy the flags

President Jim was there - and as he's the president the photo where his mouth is full of bap has been omitted (any offers?)

A steady stream of members were spreading their flags on the fairway (and wider afield) including PC Chris

and PC Maggie

Anyone seen my golf trolley - with a black golf bag?

The Chair of Match & Comps announced that it was time to begin the proceedings

The crowd gathered around the White Tee

Malcolm's Ball was on it's way

The crowd moved down to the Red Tee

Liz's Ball was in flight

and the members dispersed around the course to make their own futile attempts to hit a small round object in a pre-selected direction
